Israeli artist Yair Emanuel infuses contemporary style with traditional motifs and designs inspired by ancient Jewish manuscripts to create beautiful textiles that characterize both the old and the new.
Through his Jerusalem studio, Emanuel practices tikkun olam, repair of the world. He hires and trains new immigrants and employees with special needs, and a portion of the studio's profits is donated to charity.
The textiles are made of richly colored raw silk, appliquéd and adorned with embroidery.
