In 2003, a Ugandan coffee farmer recruited his Christian, Jewish, and Muslim neighbors to join him in working for peace, tolerance, and justice. Despite their differences, they formed Mirembe Kawomera, or "delicious peace," a Ugandan Cooperative of coffee farmers with a slogan that perfectly expressed their mission- "not just a cup, but a just cup." This Ugandan, Fair Trade Certified coffee will directly help the 558 farming families of the Cooperative and indirectly improve the entire region.
