These whimsical crocodile-shaped menorahs are handmade by adults with special needs at the village of Kishorit in the Galilee region of Israel. Each piece is made the old-fashioned way: after the forms are cut, resident-craftspeople sand the product to its smooth kid-friendly finish and paint it with non-toxic milk-based paint. Their construction helps the residents of Kishorit become self-sustaining by teaching them marketable skills, enhancing their self-esteem, and supporting the development of their village.
